A passing thought..

Something made me wonder today.. are rescue groups in some sort of competition with each other to get animals, especially puppies? If they hear a group has interest in pulling a dog with puppies from a high kill shelter, why do they rush in to go get them themselves? Does it matter who pulls them? Really?
